To Where Do the NNTP Teams Transport Infants?
The majority of the infants are brought by the NNTP to specialist hospitals in Dublin but we also transfer neonates to other neonatal intensive care units across the country where appropriate. So too, infants who still require intensive care management are returned to their original hospital by the NNTP. Occasionally, the NNTP will also transport babies who need to travel abroad for specialist care that is not available in Ireland.
